Cassette

Suddenly, flash on my mind, when the last time do I hear music from cassette? Oh, my God. Seems soooo long ago. I just read history about cassette from Wikipedia.org.

Cassette comes from French, mean little box. The mass production of compact audio cassettes began in 1964 in
Hannover, Germany. Prerecorded music cassettes (also known as Musicassettes; M.C. for short) were launched in Europe in late 1965. The Mercury Record Company, a U.S. affiliate of Philips, introduced M.C. to the U.S. in September 1966.

I try to remind my self when I bought new cassette for last time. Well, uhm, last cassette I bought is Black Eyed Peas and my first is Sherina, Indonesian singer.

I remember when I was in junior high school, I heard a nice song, I will find out the singer then after school, I checked it in Music store in my way to home. Always like that. When I was little girl, my brother give me Britney Spears’s cassette as birthday present.

One of my favourite movie is Walk The Line, a classical one, about Johnny Cash, I was really curious about him, so it needed about two months for me to get the his songs in cassetes. My favourite is, off course, The Beatles,1, I fell in love with them. Yeew!

BIG is from my best friend ever, Wendy, as my birthday present in 16. Black and Blue from Backstreet Boys is my favourite cassete when I was in primary school, I had to compete with my cousin to get it first. And Britney defs, from Britney Spears is the most energetic music for me, I remember , I locked my bedroom and put it on maximal volume and dance alone in my bedroom till my dad or my mom knocked my door to turn it down.

Every cassette had played their roles to my life. They are soundtrack every phase of my life. But now, all we can download, right? It’s free, easy, fast, and no need space.
